1967 Chevelle
Lots of work going on with this 67. 496 cu. in. (SCAT stroker kit), blueprinted and balanced with a streetable hydraulic roller. Power is between 1800-5800 RPM. Block was 2 -bolt main. 3 center caps now converted to 4-bolt. With the car back from the body shop and looking good, I'm doing the tweaking required to get her road ready. See below for details.
- Built and installed blueprinted and balanced big block engine
- Complete teardown of dash included cleaning and repair of all guages and painting
- Installation of factory tachometer
- All needed updates made to run MSD ignition with all connections running thorugh factory fuse box (saved about $400 vs buying a new wiring harness)
- More updates to come when car returns from body shop (Romans 836 Body & Paint)
- Back from the body shop. Made allowances in engine area to accommodate headers on aluminum heads
- Carburetor rejetted for fine tuning
- Repair horns
- Distributor shaft was faulty and had to be sent back to MSD for repairs - Still waiting.....
