1969 Camaro Pro Street

I totally rebuilt this 454 to make it a 492 Stroker. This car now lovingly named Black Thunder, is a driver and NOT a trailer queen. I enjoyed working on and test driving this car so much the owner had to pry it away from me!!!

Black Thunder had to make another visit to Mr. Motor Man!! Seems the extra power caused a "weak link" in the suspension and we had to install a new Panhard bar. While it was here, the owner had me install a crankcase ventilation system and I also took the opportunity to re-adjust the valves.
November 24, 2010 update - As I always say, welcome to the world of hot rodding. In this world, there's always something we want to do. We're adding a new Classic Dash with Auto Meter Ultra Lite II gauges and a new Sony radio. See photos below. Stay tuned for more photos once the new dash is installed.
November 29, 2010 update - BUT, before the new, we must figure out the old!!! See photo's below. Did I mention that I do wiring? If not, let me assure you that I do!..... AND the owner of Black Thunder is glad I do!
December 2, 2010 update - We're getting there. The new dash is ready for installation. A few final touches remain, but most of this task is complete. AND most everything is working well. We still have the oil/water/speedometer to connect. Look for more updates soon.
December 5, 2010 update - New dash installed. Water, oil, and speedometer gauges connected. Also, as part of this "renovation", a new Lokar throttle pedal and cable as well as a new Lokar brake pedal cover were installed. The owner says hopefully, we're close to the end of updates! Stay tuned for photos of the deflated wallet!!!
